How it works

Arithmetic uses calendar dates, without timezones or daylight-saving offsets. Between mode includes only endpoints whose boxes are checked; if both dates are the same, both boxes must be checked to count that date. Add mode excludes the start date, then advances until the requested number of working dates has been counted. Holiday observations are entirely your responsibility.

The formulaBusiness days = included calendar dates excluding selected weekends and entered holidays
Add mode starts counting after the start date; adding zero returns the start date

Put it into practice

EXAMPLE

Monday 5 January 2026 through Monday 12 January, excluding the start and including the end, has 7 calendar dates and 5 weekdays with Saturday/Sunday weekends and no holidays.

Good to know

Does it know public holidays?

No. Enter the relevant dates yourself, including observed dates where applicable.

Can I choose a different workweek?

Yes. Check every weekday you want excluded. Add mode needs at least one working weekday when adding a positive number of days.
