How it works

This tool scales structured ingredient rows; it does not interpret arbitrary pasted recipe prose or convert ingredient units. Blank amounts remain unscaled. Ingredient names and units are copied as text. Up to 50 ingredient rows are supported. Fractions are evaluated mathematically and displayed as rounded decimals; practical portions may need adjustment.

The formulaScale factor = target servings / original servings
Scaled amount = original amount × scale factor

Put it into practice

EXAMPLE

Four servings using 1 1/2 cups of flour and 2 eggs scale to six servings using 2.25 cups of flour and 3 eggs.

Good to know

Will cooking time scale too?

No. Pan dimensions, food thickness and the cooking method change timing. Follow suitable doneness guidance.

What about salt and leavening?

The arithmetic scales every numeric amount alike; seasoning and leavening may need judgment, especially for large batches.
